Grapevine Community Programme in action at Chippenham Hockey Club
Grapevine Account Manager, Donna Fletcher was on location to provide support at the grand opening of Chippenham Hockey Club’s refurbished pitch and new stand on Saturday 16th April.
The new facilities were completed by Warmley based sports construction provider, Verde. Club treasurer, Mark Dodd shared how the three way partnership between Chippenham Hockey Club, Verde and Grapevine has contributed to improvements at the site.
“Verde did an outstanding job delivering the new pitch and the improved spectator facilities with the new stand. They worked very hard with the club to ensure that the new facilities exceeded expectations, whilst they further supported the club through the Grapevine Community programme”
As part of our Community Programme, when Verde took out services provided by Grapevine, we made a donation to the grassroots sports club of their choice.
“We were delighted to participate in the Grapevine Community programme” added Mark “which, in conjunction with Verde, produced a significant contribution to the club which will be invested in improving the coaching of the next generation of hockey players at Chippenham”.
After having to delay the opening due to COVID, the club more than made up for lost time welcoming Olympian, Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE to the event.
“The event was very well attended and enjoyed by all who had the opportunity to meet an inspirational sports woman” Mark continued.
“Kate provided training for some of the club’s youngsters as well those who played in the Ladies match which took place on the renewed pitch. Kate then spoke to club members about her experiences as a player and winner of Olympic Hockey bronze and gold medals at the London and Rio games, and handed out end of season trophies to the club’s Junior winners”.
About the programme
As part of Grapevine’s 30th anniversary celebrations, our community programme has been created to work with grassroots sports clubs and local venues on income generating opportunities.
As part of this programme, we will make a donation to one of our partner clubs, for any of the following business services that are contracted with us via referral:
- Mobile connection
- Hosted phone system
- Managed IT support
- Connectivity
Each of these are subject to a minimum term agreement.
