Our first ‘Ready for Business’ conference a success in Poole
We’re extremely grateful for the response to our first ‘Ready for Business’ conference, kindly sponsored by our friends at Exclaimer, which took place at the Lighthouse in Poole.
The half day event featured a variety of talks on everything upcoming and emerging that businesses need to know about technology and comms, as we all begin planning for a new year.

It’s been an ambition of ours for a while now to have annual event that brings together our clients, partners and staff. Thank you to everyone who supported us in taking our first step, we hope to see you all again next year!
🤝 Please be sure to connect with our brilliant line-up of speakers:
- Dr Shelley Poole, Wellington HR
- Polly Bingham and Louise Buxton, Exclaimer
- Conrad Mohr, Circular Computing
- Ian Fowler, C3IA
- Robert Fitzsimons, Huntress
- Leo Wells, Samsung Electronics
- Amelia Atkins, Evolve

Three years ago this month ChatGPT launched to the public. A.I. quickly became one of the most used terms in business, and our personal lives. Recognising that people may have heard enough on the subject for 2025, at Ready for Business 2026 we wanted to see if we could make talking about A.I. a fundraising opportunity.
For every time it was mentioned we donated £1 to our charity partner, Julia’s House Children’s Hospices. By the end of the half day event, “A.I.” had been said over 70 times. As we’d hoped, our speakers had some fun with this and definitely engineered a few additional mentions to drive the donations up! (Thank you to Dr Shelley Poole from Wellington HR for covering us when we ran out of pound coins halfway through Robert Fitzsimons from Huntress’ talk).
Additional personally matched donations from Samsung’s Leo Wells and Grapevine’s own James Spinks brought us to a grand total of £350 for Julia’ House, proving that A.I can be a force for good – you don’t even need to ask it for ideas!
