Grapevine’s Daisy Biggs wins ITP ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award
Daisy Biggs, Helpdesk Support Apprentice at Grapevine was named ‘Apprentice of the Year’ by The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) at the ITP Telecoms Awards 2025, hosted at the The Royal Lancaster, Hyde Park.
The judging panel shared the following insights into Daisy’s win:
“The judges were deeply impressed by the remarkable personal and professional growth Daisy has achieved through her apprenticeship.
Friends, family, and colleagues all recognise how the programme has helped Daisy to become more resilient, confident, and ambitious. She now proudly represents Grapevine and apprenticeships at events, speaking with assurance about the opportunities they create.
Her growing confidence has also translated into the workplace: Daisy has quickly expanded her capacity, supports new starters with patience and enthusiasm, and has even created step-by-step guides to help colleagues settle in more effectively.
Above all, the judges were inspired by Daisy’s passion for learning, her commitment to Grapevine, and her strong belief in apprenticeships as a pathway to a successful and fulfilling career.”
In her own post on LinkedIn, Daisy shared:
“This was a fantastic chance to celebrate all the talent in the industry and hear inspiring stories of people making a real impact. I was lucky enough to be shortlisted as one of the finalists for advanced apprentice of the year. This is something I am really proud to have achieved so soon in my career. Not only that, I’m very pleased to share that I won this category!
A massive congratulations to all the other finalists, it’s such an incredible achievement to be recognised for your hard work! Thank you so much to the ITP for continuing to support my growth as an apprentice.”
Grapevine Managing Director, James Spinks added:
“Congratulations on such a fantastic accolade Daisy! I was extremely priviliged to attend The ITP Telecoms Awards 2025 and could not be more proud of Daisy’s achievement.
A huge thank you to Charlotte Goodwill, Lauren Holloway, Sue Langridge and Joe Kimber from the ITP for all of their support with this apprenticeship programme and for all of the encouragement they have offered Daisy.
I would also like to thank all of my colleagues at Grapevine for helping to support Daisy on her journey, particularly Eloise Gullis, Donna Fletcher and Chloe Elliott for their continued mentorship.
For Grapevine, to be sharing the stage with other winners from giants of the Telecoms industry is testament to the progress and evolution of our small employee-owned business, and we are thrilled to showcase how we are nurturing the next generation of telecoms talent!”
