Changes to roaming (Vodafone)

Roaming across the Vodafone network is changing with regards to charges. Please see below as to how this might affect your account.

From Monday 13th December 2021, the changes in tariffs will determine the difference in your roaming experience as to whether you can ‘roam free’ or at the cost of £2 a day in the EU next year onwards. List of EU countries that this is applicable to below:

Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Aland Islands, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus (except Northern Cyprus), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France (incl. Corsica), French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Barthelemy, St. Martin, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City.

If you are currently* a part of an Entertainment Plan, Entertainment SIM Only Plan, Unlimited Max Plan or an Unlimited data Xtra Plan with 4 Xtra Benefits – you are also able to roam at no extra cost to a further 32 countries. If you are not on any of these plans – you will be charged £6 a day to use your UK allowance. List of extra countries below:

Albania, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Mexico, Montserrat, Mozambique, New Zealand, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, South Africa, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey and North Cyprus, Turks and Caicos, United States of America.

*Any changes made after Monday 13th December 2021 may cause change in pricing. Check with us prior to travel for confirmation.

Finally, across all tariffs, the below countries will continue to remain at £6 a day to use your UK allowance:

Afghanistan, Andorra, Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bonaire, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Democratic Republic of, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Fiji, Georgia, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Macau, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Russia, Saba, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Sint Eustatius, South Korea, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Swaziland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Tonga, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, US Virgin Islands, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam.

As mentioned, from Monday 13th December 2021, any changes made on any of your existing or new lines may be subject to pricing change and we do advise that you check with us before any user travels abroad.

We also want to reiterate that any user that plans to go abroad sets a voicemail PIN before leaving the country. You can do this by dialling 121 voicemail > option 4 > option 2 > option 2. If you already have one set and cannot remember what it is, please contact us and we will ask Vodafone to reset your PIN. They will then send you a text within the hour with a temporary PIN that you can either keep or you can follow through the options again to change it to one of your choice. To access your voicemail abroad it will either be 121 or alternatively the international mailbox number: +447836121121

Finally, please continue to check in with us prior to travel so that we can re-confirm bars and costs for your number and where you are travelling to.
