Four celebrate milestone work anniversaries at Grapevine
We’re celebrating four milestone work anniversaries at Grapevine in the space of less than a year! Our employee-owned business has a fantastic track record of staff retention, with many now having been with the company for multiple decades.
Nicky Vockins, Finance Manager recently marked 25 years with the business.
“I can’t believe I’ve now passed 25 years working at Grapevine!” Nicky shared “I started back in 1999 in a part-time position which soon changed to a full-time role. So much has changed over the years but the time has absolutely flown by and I’m still here, so we must be doing something right!”.
Following Nicky with 10 years is Eloise Gullis, Service Delivery Co-ordinator.
“Celebrating 10 years at Grapevine has been a massive achievement for me, having been with the company my whole adult life! (18-28, now 29).” Eloise noted. “It has been a fantastic decade of achieving so much within my time already and I’m super excited for what the next 10 years brings for me. Grapevine is ever evolving; it’s a fun rollercoaster to be a part of!”
Technical Director, Ed Lewis joined Grapevine in May 2005 and celebrated 20 years with the business this spring.
“It’s crazy how quickly those years have gone. I remember first visiting our office in Widcombe well and having to give a presentation on Blackberry servers” Ed recalls. “A lot has changed both in technology but also at Grapevine and during my time. We’ve grown and diversified without losing that “family feel” which is one of the things that attracted me in the first place.”
This September, Communications and Engagement Manager, Liam Toms will also mark 10 years with Grapevine.
“I was fortunate to get to work with the team in a consultancy role from 2011”. Liam explains. “In 2015 there was an opportunity to join the business with an in-house marketing role. Grapevine has continued to provide compelling challenges for me to take on and build my career alongside the progression of our business. The latest of course being our move to employee ownership in 2023. I think we’re doing quite well so far!”
Looking to 2026 there are more milestones on the horizon, with another 20 year and 30-year anniversary to be celebrated on the way. Before then we will be marking a decade of providing IT support and solutions, having diversified our service portfolio following the acquisition of another business in Autumn 2015.
