Grapevine’s 3rd line IT Support Engineer role is an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic and growing team. You’ll be working closely with our increasing client base to deliver forward-thinking, Cloud-first solutions to empower users and help take our clients’ businesses to the next level.

To provide the best experience for our clients, you’ll be involved throughout a project’s lifecycle, from the initial pre-sales discussions; to proof of concept, implementation and go-live; and post-sales. This will involve occasional onsite client visits.

As a technology specialist, you’ll also be working with our business development team to champion and promote our technologies and solutions, including all-things Microsoft Cloud, WatchGuard and Unifi.

Your knowledge and experience may also be called upon to support our service desk team; collaboration is key.

About You

In our Senior IT Project Engineers we’re looking for talented individuals who share our values. A good work ethic is important, and we put clients and colleagues first. Some of our clients have worked with us for over a decade and, in many cases, feel more like colleagues.

You’ll also be able to work independently, communicate effectively to technical and non-technical contacts, as well as plan and organise efficiently. Even the best laid plans can go awry, so being able analyse, problem solve, and adapt on your feet should come naturally.

A personal interest in new and emerging technologies will support you in your application and development for this role.

Our key focus is the Microsoft Cloud, utilising technologies in Microsoft 365, like: Endpoint Manager, AutoPilot, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Defender for Office 365 and Endpoint. Azure IaaS technologies are commonplace for us too, with several migrations recently to Azure Virtual Desktop.

We’re looking for someone who can work with these technologies proficiently, but also has a desire to learn, stay up-to-date and try out new technology innovations. Your approach to solution design should be with best-practice and security prioritised.

As more services are migrated to the Cloud, there’s a greater dependence on networks, so you should be competent in designing, implementing and troubleshooting highly available, and potentially, work-from-anywhere, networks. We champion WatchGuard and Unifi, but also work with other technologies, like Meraki.

Why Grapevine?

As a complete technology and communications partner, Grapevine helps businesses to improve efficiency and drive growth.

We achieve this by providing cost-effective and fully integrated IT and telecoms solutions. By working with us, our clients’ internal communications improve, staff are better linked to one another, and company systems made more accessible.

We’ve just celebrated our 30th year in business, with many of our clients and our colleagues having been with us for over two decades. Our personable approach is tested and proven.

We support hybrid working – we’d like to have you join us in the office a few days a week to support ongoing collaboration across the business, but this will be a flexible arrangement.

In addition to your salary, you will receive project outcome-dependant bonuses. Given the nature of IT migrations, some work will be required outside of standard business hours, you will be compensated for this with time-off-in-lieu or overtime pay where necessary.

You will benefit from 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays as standard, increasing with tenure. We utilise an established company pension scheme and all staff have access to health & wellness and employee rewards platforms.

Your line manager will work with you to create a personal development plan, in line with both your and our ambitions for the future. We actively encourage our staff to continue their personal progression in achieving industry recognised certifications. We’ll allocate you time to learn, budget for exams and a mentor to support you with your personal development plan.

Grapevine is an equal opportunities employer. The tenure of our staff is a testament to the positive company culture we have built over 30 years and continue to add to. We welcome your contribution to this in the next stage of our journey.
