Grapevine’s Pete Boby close to completing year long challenge for Age UK

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Grapevine company chairman, Pete Boby has been making use of the great outdoors, with a daily exercise routine of at least 10,000 steps. He’s braved it out through each of the seasons and is yet to miss a day. With the one year mark fast approaching, Pete has walked over 2,000 miles.

His secret for staying motivated through these past few chilly months has been the decision to make the challenge a fundraising opportunity for Age UK.

“When I volunteered to help deliver Christmas Day meals, I saw Age UK B&NES wonderful work first hand. There are a lot of older people who have real needs and the charity helps in meaningful ways.” Pete shared.

“Walking has the obvious physical benefits but it also clears the head. It certainly helps, on a cold wet winters day, to have the sponsorship challenge to keep me focused!”

With March upon us, Pete is on the final stretch toward his Sunday 14th March finish line. He’s already raised over £800 for Age UK, help him make that a four figure for this worthwhile cause by donating via his JustGiving page:
